Introduction
The club will be of interest to all who have a passion for European Languages and culture and speak a second European language to at least a conversational standard. Each month we hold events
in French, German, Italian, Spanish and English usually hosted by native speakers.
Thames EuroClub is a social club with no political or religious affiliations and is run by volunteers on a not-for-profit basis.
Events
Events are generally held in Reading, Maidenhead, Newbury, High Wycombe and Wokingham in Pubs, Restaurants and other venues as well as occasionally at members' homes. We actively encourage
those who would like to hold events in other languages and in other parts of Berkshire and areas nearby. Speakers of Eastern European and other minority languages are welcome to join the club and take part in activities.
During the past years we have also organised a number of social activities such as boat parties, weekends on the Thames, meals, BBQs and Summer and Christmas Parties together with regular cycle rides and
walks in the warmer seasons.
Membership
First step to find out more about the club is by registering at the Meet Up site. Registration is free and without obligation. You are welcome
to come along to any of the events listed in the calendar. The site will show you what events are taking place over the next few weeks and you can read reviews of past events written by members. Regular visitors will be asked to join the club. Membership
costs £10 per year which funds the administration of the club and any surplus is used to subsidise events such as the summer and winter parties and those events held at members homes.
There are some 180 members of the club drawn from the UK, Europe and further afield.
Look forward to seeing you at one of the many events.
